Pahhha!
I just rebuild my machine after experimenting with it and and then add all the games back on and never play them.....
i just played about with the new ubuntu and did what i can with that (boy does it look good). Saying all that I have only reinstalled windows 7 twice since i got it and have not felt the need to mess with it. It is super fast already, i do think it is just an extra service pack to Vista tho as Vista was almost as quick (sometimes quicker) as 7 but they messed it up.

But saying all that I got hold of a microsoft windows release schedule that mentions all versions of windows from 2000 onwards and has the dates for all the service packs, end of lifes and release schedules for all the new versions, which includes alpha, beta, RC stage and RTM stages. W8 is not too far away....

Oh back to the point  I mostly play worms on my phone and snood on pc when im not messing with it these days... Oh and yes losing big time in chess (but thats my fault for not thinking in advance.....)

I think windows has inproved vs vista. vista wasnt good and win7 owns (only is u play aoc the grafisch aren't  good  U need to kill expleror )

Space Empires IV is a turn based game. Once u finish moving all your units and ships, u finish your turn and the game close automatically. Later on, you have to send the savegame to your oponent, he will open it using his personal password and play his turn,... its a 5 ppl game,... so i play 2 turns every week more or less,... we've been on this game for almost 2 months and I'm second and have an alliance with the strongest empire! XD
5 human players and 12 computer controlled players. Ive conquered an empire =D.
In a few turns,... one of the players will lose, cause we are going to kill him! XD

in the launch year I worked a few times with vista... and I didn't like it. drivers weren't availebul vista worked on a new level off dlls
Most games had 2 RAM ram needed under Vista U really needed a fast pc for it. Now I have windows 7 running on my fastest pc (2,6 GHZX 4 and 4 GB ram   If U ook on the internet win 7 onws win vista

Ok, maybe Vista was bad at first (some bugs, and required lots of memory). But after some time when the bugs were fixed and 2 GB ram was usual Vista was ok. You just shouldnt test a new windows version too soon, the very first version will suck .
Maybe the first Windows 7 version worked well, but hey, they did some serious beat-testing, and it looks alot like Vista anywayz :p .
